Bargaining for Minimum Price
Each year, on behalf of our members, the association negotiates with individual apple processors to arrive at minimum price agreements for processing apples. The association, through this formal bargaining process, has consistently negotiated the highest prices in the country on behalf of its members.

Your association is the only accredited association to bargain on behalf of apple growers for minimum prices and other terms of trade. In order to maintain accreditation, the association must represent more than 50% of the growers in a defined bargaining unit who produce more than 50% of the processing apple tonnage in that defined unit. Currently, the assocation represents more than 50% of Michigan growers and more than 50% of processing tonnage.
Sales Desk
In an effort to obtain true market value for our members' fruit, the assocaition operates a sales desk to assist members in locating the best markets for their processing apples. In addition to working with all Michigan processors, the sales desk also works with processors in Ontario, New York, Pennsylvania and Virgina.
An added service to our members is assisting in the collection of overdue money for deliveries of processing apples.
